OUR COMMITMENT
BIC Group’s sustainable development approach is based on a set of documents that define our vision and provide a framework
for each employee’s everyday activities in order to ensure compliance with the principles of sustainable development.
THE BIC GROUP SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
In 2003, the Group defined the BIC Sustainable Development Program. Through this Program, the BIC Group seeks to:
• develop ecological common sense: in order to limit its consumption of natural
resources, the Group strives to minimise the use of raw materials in its products
and packaging, while gradually introducing new eco-friendly, recycled or
renewable materials.
• reduce its environmental impact: because the Group measures the environmental
impact of its products, factories and transport activities, it has a basis
for implementing actions to reduce the environmental impact.
• build day-to-day relationships based on trust: we also focus on strengthening
employee skills and employability and on improving quality of life in the workplace,
while promoting initiatives that support local communities.
THE STAKES FOR THE GROUP
BIC Group has identified the main stakes related to the key phases of its business, from the supply of raw materials to the use of the product
and to its end-of-life management.
